What Is The Difference Between Isla Mujeres And Playa Mujeres?

When we compare the travel costs of real travelers between and Isla Mujeres, we can see that Isla Mujeres is more expensive. And not only is Playa del Carmen much less expensive, but it's actually a significantly cheaper destination. Therefore, traveling to Playa del Carmen will allow you to spend less money overall. Or you can decide to spend more money in Playa del Carmen and be able to afford a more luxurious style of travel by staying in nicer hotels, eating at more expensive restaurants, taking tours and experiencing more activities.

The same level of travel on Isla Mujeres would naturally cost you a lot more money, so you'd probably want to keep your budget a little tighter on Isla Mujeres than in Playa del Carmen. Cancun is by far the most popular vacation destination on the Mexican Riviera, but Isla Mujeres is rapidly gaining popularity. Each offers a unique atmosphere and a variety of attractions that visitors love. Three of the main destinations in the Riviera Maya offer something completely different.

While Isla Mujeres offers the perfect island life surrounded by white sand beaches, somewhere in the middle of the two is Playa del Carmen, where the party scene is much stronger and the main street is now teeming with designer brands and shopping malls. Playa del Carmen is in a great location if you want to explore several different destinations during your trip (I couldn't recommend Xcaret more), however, it's increasingly overcrowded with tourists and Western brands.

For a more authentic experience in Mexico, I would definitely recommend visiting Isla Mujeres. On its own small island, connected to the Royal Island by a jetty, Mia Reef offers guests an all-inclusive experience that will make them never want to leave. About eight miles off the east coast of the Yucatan Peninsula, Isla Mujeres is an island in the Mexican Caribbean Sea. Cancun has more beaches than Isla Mujeres, but its beaches are more prone to sargassum, and some have big waves that make swimming less than ideal.

For those of you who haven't heard of Isla Mujeres before, it's a beautiful paradise located just off the coast of Cancun. Isla Mujeres is more charming, with colorful island-style houses, independent shops and restaurants, plus more opportunities to interact with locals while on vacation. Punta Sur is located on the opposite end of the island, with the highest elevation in Yucatan and houses an ancient temple in honor of the Mayan Goddess of the Moon. Set deep on the perfect white sand, Playa Norte Beach is surrounded by tall palm trees overlooking the clearest ocean water ever seen.

Prices for flights to Isla Mujeres and Playa del Mujeres change regularly depending on dates and travel demand.
