Where In Cancun Is Playa Mujeres?

Playa Mujeres is a new development in Cancun and consists of some newly built luxury hotels, as well as a golf camp and La Amada marina. Playa Mujeres is part of the municipality of Isla Mujeres, but it is on the mainland and you don't need to travel by ferry to get here. It is located north of Punta Sam, about 15 km from downtown Cancun. About 20 miles north of Cancun, Isla Blanca is a small stretch of land with a narrow sandbank and a very low altitude above sea level.

The luxury beach destination has managed to stay in the shadows while Cancun has danced in the spotlight. The community is home to one of Cancun's best golf courses, the Greg Norman-designed Playa Mujeres Golf Club, and the marina is just steps from the Beloved Playa Mujeres lobby. There is a marina right next door and the ferry to Isla Mujeres is close by, making it one of the best-connected resorts in Playa Mujeres.

Playa Mujeres is located just outside the Cancun Hotel Zone and a few miles northeast of Cancun on the road to Isla Blanca, in the continental district of the Municipality of Isla Mujeres, beyond Puerto Juárez and Punta Sam.
